Who holds our souls in life?
Psalms 66:9 In-Context

And make the voice of His praise to be heard, 9 Who keeps our soul among the living, And does not allow our feet to be moved. 10 For You, O God, have tested us; You have refined us as silver is refined. It is a psalm of thanksgiving probably intended for use at the Passover. The psalm is divided into two parts: in verses 1-12 the community praises God and invites the whole world to join in praise; in verses 13–20, "an individual from the rescued community fulfils a vow to offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving". Psalm 66.18 If I had cherished sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened; 19 but God has surely listened and has heard my prayer. 20 Praise be to God, who has not rejected my prayer or withheld his love from me!

Who wrote Psalms 66 : David

We do not know who is its author, but we see no reason to doubt that David wrote it. It is in the Davidic style, and has nothing in it unsuited to his times. It is true the "house" of God is mentioned, but the tabernacle was entitled to that designation as well as the temple.

Does our soul belong to God

YOUR SOUL IS YOURS, BUT THE SPIRIT BELONGS TO GOD.

Did God give us a soul : According to Genesis 2:7 God did not make a body and put a soul into it like a letter into an envelope of dust; rather he formed man's body from the dust, then, by breathing divine breath into it, he made the body of dust live, i.e. the dust did not embody a soul, but it became a soul – a whole creature.

Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered: let them also that hate him flee before him. As smoke is driven away, so let them be driven away: as wax melteth before the fire, so let the wicked perish at the face of those who love God and who are signified by the sign of the cross.

Psalm 66 invites the entire world to praise God because he is the one who destroys our enemies (Psalm 66:1-4). The psalmist invites the nations to “come and see” what God has done on behalf of Israel (Psalm 66:5). God defeated their Egyptian slave masters (Exodus 6:1).

What is Proverbs 28 13

13 Whoever conceals his transgressions will not prosper, but he who confesses and forsakes them will obtain mercy. 13 People who conceal their sins will not prosper, but if they confess and turn from them, they will receive mercy.Proverbs 21:13 In-Context

13 If you refuse to listen to the cry of the poor, your own cry for help will not be heard. 14 If someone is angry with you, a gift given secretly will calm him down. 15 When justice is done, good people are happy, but evil people are brought to despair.Psalm 66 is a song of praise, not for a tragedy that occurred, but for the unseen work of God during a crisis. It clearly illustrates the dependency of man on the greatness of God during times of trouble.

For every living soul belongs to me, the father as well as the son–both alike belong to me. The soul who sins is the one who will die.

Where does my soul belong : It is your soul's true home in nature, a place where you feel as much a part of it, as it does of you. This is a place that you feel completely at peace, it could be a forest, an ocean, a ruined castle, or even the city…But wherever it is, you get a spectacular sense of belonging when you're there.

Where do our souls come from : Origin of the soul

According to soul creationism, God creates each individual soul directly, either at the moment of conception or at some later time. According to traducianism, the soul comes from the parents by natural generation. According to the preexistence theory, the soul exists before the moment of conception.

Where do souls go after death

Heaven and Hell

According to the beliefs of some religions, heavenly beings can descend to earth or incarnate, and earthly beings can ascend to heaven in the afterlife, or in exceptional cases, enter heaven alive.

The use of “Here I am” reveals purpose. Isaiah was saying he was here on earth for a specific purpose and he wanted that purpose to be the Lord's. As he immediately followed it with “send me,” he didn't wait to hear what the Lord would say but wrote a blank check to the Lord, a universal yes to God's plan for him.Blessed be the Lord, who daily bears us up; God is our salvation. ( Psalm 68:19) Our salvation does not rest merely somewhere in the past, at that first moment of repentance and faith. God did save us then. But as long as we are in this world, we need daily saving.

What is the meaning of Psalm 66 and 12 : In summary, Psalm 66:10-12 acknowledges the testing, refining, and challenging experiences of the people of Israel. It reflects the psalmist's recognition of God's faithfulness in bringing them through trials and ultimately leading them to a place of abundance.
