Diana is Anne's bosom friend and true kindred spirit. Diana and Anne attended school together in Avonlea. She later marries school mate Fred Wright and goes on to raise a family with him. She is Anne's confidante and loyal supporter through all of their misadventures together.Later, in season three, Diana ends things with Jerry because of their statuses and differences. Jerry is poor while Diana is wealthy and has strict parents, who would never let her be with a commoner like him.At the end, Diana tells Anne that she has feelings for Gilbert, but she never did anything about it because she thought that Anne was in love with him. Nothing becomes of this, however.
