It can be scary, it has a lot of jump scares. However, you have to listen to the curator. Not everything is as it seems. The twist ending I did not see coming, which is unusual.Man of Medan is the first of The Dark Pictures. The game has all the elements of horror to keep you up at night. Still there are some flaws in the acting, but nothing serious. IF you want to get scared of a game, this is a must buy.

With anthology series, you're always going to have some things work better than others and although the tighter gameplay elements mean Litle Hope plays better, it isn't as scary and the cast pales in comparison to Man of Medan's.Oh most of the jump scares have a delay in this one. Don't say what seriously are you trying to freak me out. Oh this one was so. Good.As a horror story, the game not only has numerous scary moments, but a lot of blood and gore as well, including images of characters being shot, stabbed, mutilated, and hung.
Technical issues, a rushed story, and a confusing approach to player choices halt the game from reaching the same levels as Until Dawn. Overall, Man of Medan is a fun, entertaining horror experience but I'm hoping Supermassive Games can scare up something a little more substantial for future The Dark Pictures titles.

House of Ashes managed to encapsulate everything that we wanted to see from this horror anthology series: monsters both terrifying and awesome to look at, well-built tension, well-rounded characters with a bit of development, and a story that keeps you on the edge of your seat.
Does Little Hope have jumpscares : There are tons of jumpscares in here. But they get very watered down and predictable after a point.

He uses Mary to accuse each character of communing with the devil before executing them. While the present-day characters may believe Mary is evil, guiding Abraham towards the truth (that Mary is Carver's victim just like everyone else) is the most obvious path and the one that leads to the supposedly good ending.
This resulted in 2022's MADiSON being the scariest game ever. MADiSON puts players in the shoes of a 16-year-old boy who possesses a camera that formally belongs to a serial killer. This camera acts as a bridge between the living and the dead as the boy must escape a demonic ritual.Even some teens and adults may find this scary. The animatronics in this game are extremely menacing and frightening. Some ambient noises also add fear to the game. When you are jumpscared by an animatronic, the screen gets covered in the blood (although we never see any actual violence occur).
