two years older
Anne also formed a complex relationship with Gilbert Blythe, who was two years older than Anne but studying at her level, having had his schooling interrupted when his father became ill. On their first meeting as schoolmates, Gilbert teased Anne with the nickname "Carrots".As the series ends, it is 1919 and they are happy; Gilbert is 55 and still sincerely in love with Anne of Green Gables.Anne ultimately marries Gilbert Blythe, the classmate who once called her “carrots” and had a slate broken over his head for his impertinence. They settle in Glen St. Mary, where Gilbert practises medicine, and they have six children: Jem, Walter, the twins Nan and Di, Shirley and Rilla.
When did Gilbert fall in love with Anne : She smashed a slate on his head and stubbornly refused to forgive, or even acknowledge him. Gilbert deeply regretted the incident and persisted in trying to get Anne to forgive him throughout their childhood, later realizing when he grew older that he fell in love with Anne on the day she broke her slate on his head.

Who married Diana Barry : Fred Wright
She later marries school mate Fred Wright and goes on to raise a family with him. She is Anne's confidante and loyal supporter through all of their misadventures together.
The third season opened to generally positive reviews. The season takes a gap from the last season and begins with Elena Gilbert's 18th birthday, with all series regulars returning with the exception of Sara Canning, whose character, Jenna Sommers, was killed off in the previous season.
Consequently, when Gilbert proposes to Anne the first time, she cannot accept because she has not yet realised that she loves him.
Was Diana in love with Gilbert
At the end, Diana tells Anne that she has feelings for Gilbert, but she never did anything about it because she thought that Anne was in love with him. Nothing becomes of this, however.Of course, Anne was unlikely a lesbian. Whether you love her relationship with Gilbert or not, her feelings for him are canon. But so are her feelings for Diana. “I solemnly swear to be faithful to my bosom friend, Diana Barry, as long as the sun and moon shall endure.Gilbert drew her close to him and kissed her. Then they walked home together in the dusk, crowned king and queen in the bridal realm of love, along winding paths fringed with the sweetest flowers that ever bloomed, and over haunted meadows where winds of hope and memory blew.
Her age is never mentioned until once in Rainbow Valley, where Anne says sadly, “Marilla is eighty five.” By some back calculation, this makes her not younger than fifty something when we first meet her: “a tall, thin woman, with angles and without curves.
Why did Gilbert love Anne so much : But I think he also likes her because they're both intelligent, do well in school and like to read classics and poetry. Those things help make a bond. Also, Anne is fun and spunky and out spoken, something Gilbert hasn't seen much of as far as I can tell from the books.

Is Anne with an E 18 : "Anne With an E" is rated TV-PG according to Netflix, and it certainly is darker and more serious than Montgomery's light-hearted, often humorous book. This new series portrays Anne Shirley in perhaps a more realistic light as a traumatized young orphan who's been neglected her young life.
