Eleanor Yes, "Anne of Avonlea" is the second book in the series, so best read after "Anne of Green Gables". Maria honestly, i didn't like the 2nd book and the 3rd book picks up at college where Anne was gonna go at the end of the 1st anyway. So yes you can skip the 2nd book.
